Strava Year In Sport 2023 Awards Honor The Most Motivating Athletes And Clubs Around The World

SAN FRANCISCO, December 6, 2023 – Strava, the leading digital community for active people with more than 100 million athletes, today announced the Year In Sport 2023 Awards, which recognize the athletes and clubs on Strava who stood out from the crowd and motivated everyone to get active this year. Across 12 different categories, the awards celebrate all aspects of the Strava community, from professional athletes to the local legends, to the trailblazers and the ‘must follows.’

Each award nominee – whether it’s an individual athlete or club – has redefined what’s possible in the active world. Nominees for ‘Best Follow of the Year’ include:

  • Hellah Sidibe: A true legend in the running industry known for his 6+ year run streak, alongside his inspiring & motivational content both on and off Strava.

  • Lisa Migliorini: A runner and worldwide known creator sharing her running journey on Strava, always with the biggest smile on her face. 

  • Kayla Jeter: Founder of the global running community #100milesofSummer, and the Soho House Chicago Run Club, Kayla works to bring accessible wellness to Chicago's South Side by spearheading running and fitness initiatives within the community.

  • Average Rob: A standout content creator who brings the hype and took on his first Ironman this year, a big motivator for the Strava community. 

Get inspired by all this year’s nominees including athletes like Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift winner Demi Vollering, who is nominated for ‘Athlete of the Year’, and Latoya Snell, a multi-sport athlete who constantly motivates the Strava community and is nominated for Strava’s ‘Trailblazer of the Year’. 

As part of Strava’s Strive for More initiative which is a $1 million commitment to support women in movement in sport, Strava will also honor the clubs that made a significant impact in the pursuit of improving gender equity and getting more women to their own starting lines this year. 

The Year In Sport 2023 Award winners across all categories will be named on December 14th when Strava athletes can also access their personalized Year In Sport to celebrate their own achievements this year.
